VitaMix AntiAging Spinach Supreme Ice Cream For Breakfast!
My VitaMix Anti Aging Spinach Supreme Ice Cream is so delicious and nutritious I eat it for breakfast. Yes, ice cream for breakfast!
Organic spinach, frozen bananas and my Nectar of the Gods Sweetener combine to make a scrumptious delight that feels good while you are eating it and you feel terrific afterwards.
Make this ice cream and let me know how it went. Use the comment box below. Thanks! Jane.
Transcript of this video:
The first thing that is required are 2 frozen bananas, just break them up in a few pieces and pop them in the VitaMix. When you freeze your bananas, make sure they are ripe and that the banana has the brown sugar spots speckling it, peel it, pop it into a freezer bag, pop the bag into your freezer, you’re good to go, they last about 2 weeks, but you’ll use them up much faster than that.
The second ingredient is a big scoop of my frozen Nectar of the Gods Sweetener, and if you’ve been watching my videos you all know what that is, it is simply Medjool dates soaked in either coconut water or plain water and then I froze some for my ice cream.
And then, of course, we want our greens in our Spinach Supreme Ice Cream. I washed this lovely, organic spinach and dried it in a lettuce spinner. Now, as you can see, we’ve filled the VitaMix with pretty much dry ingredients. The bananas have potassium and fiber, the NOG sweetener has electrolytes and fiber (the coconut water provides electrolytes) and the spinach has chlorophyll and oxygen direct to our bloodstream.
I will show the entire blending process so you can know what to expect when making this at home. In the VitaMix manual, they’ve got a frozen dessert section with lots of ice creams and it reads in about 30-60 seconds the sound of the motor will change, you’ll see mounds of ice cream begin to form and then shut it off so you don’t over process because then it will begin to melt.
If you don’t have a VitaMix you’re going to have to let the bananas soften a bit and make a smaller quantity, but that’s ok, do what you can to get started somewhere. (Blending. 36 seconds.)
Look at that, you can see the 4 mounds that have developed. I’m going to scoop that right out just like ice cream. And here’s what I like to do, I put a bed of shredded, dried coconut in the bottom of the bowl. One, I love the colors, the white and the green and I also like the taste. Then I sprinkle the top with a little more coconut. Is that not gorgeous?
That’s our VitaMix Anti Aging Spinach Supreme Ice Cream with some coconut on the top and the bottom so you don’t have to root around for it. Mmm, this is delicious. It’s so refreshing. What I taste most is the sweetness from the bananas and the dates and a little bit of chewy crunchy from the coconut.
This is my breakfast today. I’m having bananas, spinach and dates for breakfast. And, I’m satisfying myself psychologically because it’s in the form of ice cream and I love ice cream, I don’t know who doesn’t. But after I eat this ice cream I feel terrific. I feel energized and ready for the day and I feel like I have done something good for myself, which I have.
So, I thank my viewer with no first name for writing in and saying, “Hey, how about a spinach ice cream?”

[..YouTube..] Hey, it’s Josh. Thanks for making the spinach ice cream! You did request that I share mine with you, but I have been a little busy lately, and infact, this may be better than mine!I have a great smoothie recipe to share with you! It was the first green smoothie I had, and is my favourite.I’ll email you.
[..YouTube..] @tenshichanyo Hi Josh,You are welcome. I hope you make the Spinach Supreme and let me know what you think, since you inspired it. I look forward to your smoothie recipe. Jane.

[..YouTube..] Thank you! Let me know what you make and what you think of the recipes when you make them! Jane.
[..YouTube..] LOL that’s so cool. i need to make this. i love ice cream, but i don’t want to eat the regular kind.
[..YouTube..] @MoniMeka If you love ice cream then you’ve come to the right place! As a former ice cream addict, I have found total emotional, physiological and dietary satisfaction from my “ice cream”. They the best!Jane
[..YouTube..] Hi wanted to know if it didnt have a bitter taste as spinach is normally bitter?????
[..YouTube..] @CamilleVendryes I haven’t experienced any bitterness with spinach, but if you find it bitter, cut down the amount to start with, you can always increase later. Better to get a little fresh spinach than none at all – hope I don’t sound like your mother
Jane
[..YouTube..] I know when i cooked it, it does has a slight bitter taste, well maybe blending it wont i guess, well i am 46 years old we can more be sisters

[..YouTube..] ok i understand, but when i try it i will let u know how it taste, have a great evening!!
[..YouTube..] Hi Jane how can i find the Pistachio ice cream cant seem to find it on youtube, have you ever tried making raw ice cream cake sound soooo yummy???
[..YouTube..] @CamilleVendryes I keep trying to paste the link to the pistachio ice cream in this comment box and YouTube rejects it, so just go to my website, click on the “Bimi Ice Creams” tab in the menu bar and it’s the first recipe (at least until I make another ice cream and Rocky Road is next!)If you make it, let me know what you think of it.:)Jane
[..YouTube..] Thanks Jane i found it i went on youtube and type in raw bimi ice cream plus i got a bonus for finding more of your amazing recipes, the pistachio looks really delicious, these ice cream you make when you put like left overs in the freezer do they get icy or stay creamy ???? I catn wait to see how you do Rocky Road, will that be a ice cream cake or just ice cream????
[..YouTube..] @CamilleVendryes The left over ice creams get hard in the fridge so you have to let them defrost a bit before eating and most of them retain their original texture, it just depends on the ingredients – the rocky road will be ice cream, i’ve never made an ice cream cake!Jane
[..YouTube..] Hi Jane thanks for your patient and time………….will be trying some of you juices and ice cream!!!!:)
[..YouTube..] Like like like like like! Can I be you when I grow up?

[..YouTube..] @tjb08661987 Thank you! That is high praise.:)Jane
[..YouTube..] Can a food processor be used as well?
[..YouTube..] @ChoosenLyfe You can try it, but I don’t think the food processor would be able to blend the spinach smooth. But if you don’t mind that perhaps the spinach is a bit stringy, give it a whirl and report back so that we can all learn. Perhaps you’ll come up with something new!:)Jane
[..YouTube..] you look real pretty jane and your skin is nice. I love this ice cream right here i have to try it in my blendtec for sure. Thanks again. When i open my juice bar i will try to recipe and add a little more maybe to give it a little more bling bling. Peace and love

[..YouTube..] Wow – I’ve been making spinach banana ‘ice cream’ for several months now and I LOVE it!! I was using my food processor, and had to pre-puree my spinach with a little water in my magic bullet, but now I can just throw everything into my new Vitamix that I got for Christmas!! Just found your videos by searching for Vitamix recipes on YT. I love how you always look so excited when your food is blending!! My favorite is to use banana, spinach, and soaked dried apricots!!
[..YouTube..] @NicoletteLynnMusic I never thought of using dried apricots – that sounds delicious. I hope you enjoy your VitaMix and get as much fun and wellbeing from it as I get from mine.
[..YouTube..] @blenditandMendit Yeah, it’s so good, you should try it. Almost tastes like maple walnut ice cream. I’m already having a lot of fun with my Vitamix!! Happy New Year!
[..YouTube..] @NicoletteLynnMusic Same to you
[..YouTube..] I wish you could Blend and Mend our Health Care System by taking control of hospital, prison, and school cafeteria food.
Thank you so much for this video! The ice cream looks yummy! I love my vitamix, but have never been able to master ice cream in it. Your tips will really help! Going home to try this tonight!
Hi Rebecca,
You’re welcome! Come back and let me know how it turned out and how you liked it.
Jane
Hi Jane, just a question – what speed do you have your vitamix on when you are making your ice-creams? Thanks so much, I love your site and have made quite a few of your recipes.
Hi Helen,
It’s on HIGH (which over rides the speed settings) and I use the tamper to push the frozen fruit into the blades.
Thank you for your kind words and support. I appreciate it.
