I woke up this morning and said “must have greens, must have greens”.

I am going to add red kale, dandelion greens, a little bit of ginger, couple splashes of lemon, and some red grapes to the blender and I’m gonna get my greens. I call this my anti-aging bitter brew because it has kale and dandelion in it. But you will be amazed at how the lemon and the ginger de-bitterizes the bitter brew. Let’s get going.

I’ve already added to the VitaMix three cups of the red grapes. Look at these. Come on… beautiful. Antioxidants, water. Here’s where you get your purified water. Eat your water. All the waterful foods, the fresh fruits and vegetables, are full of water. Full of water, full of water, full of water. So, I’ve got 3 cups of the grapes in the VitaMix and I’m adding my freshly washed kale, here’s how much I’m putting in, one, two ,three, look at the beautiful purple on the stems, four, five, big half a dozen of the big green leaves, I mean the big, red leaves, so this is going in.

There’s a flavor to this kale, it’s not just bitter, it’s almost got a dark, baking chocolate flavor to it. Once you become accustomed to the greens, you’ll notice that all the greens have their own unique taste. And look at the dandelion, big, big handful of that is going in there, also. Dandelion, kale, grapes, and if this isn’t bitter enough for you, just add more. I’m also going to put in the squeeze of lemon, take a half a lemon, there’s a couple seeds, let’s grab those, and there’s another seed, take that out, squeeze in a half a lemon or if you want more you can add more but I like about a half…

And then I want to add, for some warming, cleansing qualities, just a bit of ginger, now I’m not adding any water to this, you can if you want, and today I’m not adding any ice to it. We’re just going to let all the water in the grapes, the kale, the dandelion, the ginger and the lemon come together in a pure, potent flavor. Let’s blend it up, this will probably take 20-30 seconds in the VitaMix.

Here we go. Ok, that’s intense, let’s see, it’s amazing how the lemon de-bitterizes the bitter! Maybe sour, bitter times sour equals sweet, of course, we must give credit to the grapes. Ok, look at the color, deep, dark green, just what I was craving. Looks just like the kale, the dandelion greens and the grapes that went into it.

Let’s fill up a mug here, look at that. The chlorophyll, the oxygen, the fiber, the antioxidants, I’m lovin’ this.
