VitaMix AntiAging Elizabeth Green Smoothie
My VitaMix Anti Aging Elizabeth Green Smoothie is a viewer submitted wonder.
Cherries, greens, bananas and more combine to create an inspiring and delicious, dreamy green smoothie. As usual, I did my own version and I hope you are inspired to make your own.
The resulting color is an intense, deep burgundy and it is roaring with life-giving antioxidants and nutrient dense goodness.
Be inspired. Make Elizabeth’s Cherry Green Goodness.

Today I am making my AntiAging Elizabeth Green Smoothie. Hi, Elizabeth!
It is a viewer submitted smoothie from Elizabeth and it is subtitled Elizabeth’s Cherry Green Goodness. Let’s get started. The first thing Elizabeth says to add is 1 bag of organic frozen cherries. Well, I do have a bag of frozen organic cherries but it’s the bulk from Costco so I am measuring out 2 cups. Let’s start there.
We green smoothie makers don’t measure. We know that it’s generally 60% fruit, 40% greens. Then Elizabeth says, 2 cups of water, we’re going to add that, here we go… 2 cups of clean, purified water. And, a tablespoon of chia seeds. Don’t have any at the moment, but I do have a tablespoon of sesame seeds, unhulled, that I’m going to substitute. I often use a tablespoon of sesame seeds because they are so calcium intense and it’s bioavailable to us, very good, we want to keep that osteoporosis away.
And then she talks about adding one tablespoon of sprouted and dried, organic, hulled buckwheat groats. Now that’s a mouthful and she does her own. I do, too, but it just so happens I already used my buckwheats to make some buckies, and I got this recipe from Jeremy Safron’s book. I’m gonna show you how to make these one day, it is the best snack and it’s a fantastic granola, but in the meantime… so, I’ve got organic, sprouted and dried buckwheats but I’ve already added some cinnamon to them and some dates and raisins, so I’m just going to add what I consider to be a tablespoon of my buckies to the blender. So, we’ve got two ingredients in one there, Elizabeth, including the vanilla.
Add 2 very ripe bananas. So those are going in, one happened to be fresh and one happened to be frozen. So take away from this that you can create your own… if something inspires you in Elizabeth’s Cherry Green Goodness, just make it, go from that seed, go from there and see what you can come up with yourself. A tablespoon of hemp seeds, don’t have any in the house, didn’t feel like driving to the store, but that’s okay. And 3 large handfuls of organic spinach. Well, of course, I have some greens that I want to use up today. I don’t want them to go to waste. So I’m going to add a handful of the organic, mixed greens, is it not gorgeous? And a handful of parsley, I have to use these up today, there we go, 1, 2, 3… so that was parsley and mixed greens, wow, we are really loading up the blender. “Blend and enjoy. Peace and raw health. Elizabeth.” So, let’s do that.
That tasted fantastic. I love to take a little taste while I’m making the smoothies. Our cherry green goodness is deep, dark red. It’s a beautiful, intense and rich color. Wow. I feel wealthy looking at this. Predominant flavor… cherry, banana and then parsley. I don’t know what happened to the mixed greens, I don’t even taste them. I probably could have put twice the amount in. Create your own cherry green goodness. Be inspired by Elizabeth.

[..YouTube..] I am going to go buy some cherries. That looks soooo good!
[..YouTube..] It is delicious. Many thanks to Elizabeth. Cherries are so antioxidant rich. I really enjoyed this one. Jane.
That’s great!! I can’t believe you posted this smoothie already. I have to say, I was a bit nervous when I saw you putting the parsley in and no spinach, but I am glad you thought it still tasted good!! Next time try it with all spinach and the hemp seeds and chia, you won’t believe how creamy and dreamy that smoothie is. The hemp makes it creamy and the chia makes is think and luscious. It is by far one of my favorite.
Great video! Thanks again.
Peace & Raw Health,
Elizabeth
Hi Elizabeth,
I loved it! And so did my family. I know I am a recipe renegade, but sometimes I just can’t follow them, I’m always going off with what I’ve got on hand. Please forgive me! But you are so inspiring and that’s the real nourishment I’m seeking.
Lettuce blend and mend together.
Jane
PS: I do intend to make your starfruit smoothie as written. Wish me luck
I do love how you improvise, it is very wise. I do love how you used sesame seeds. I’m sure you know that just 1 Tablespoon of raw hulled sesame seeds has the same amount of calcium as 5 glasses of cow’s milk!! Who says you have to drink unhealthy cow’s milk to get your calcium? We prefer plant sources just like you.
Peace & Raw Health,
Elizabeth
I use recipes….but I also love coming up with my own creations.
Hi Frannie,
What are some of your favorites? Maybe we are concocting some of the same things!
