It requires only 3 ingredients and you can drink it 3 different ways. We start with one, ripe medium size tomato, which I cut into fours and put right in the VitaMix.

To that we add one stalk of celery, using organic, which is always best if you can get it, if you can’t that’s okay, get what you can to get started eating fresh vegetables, drinking your greens, blending and mending as you can.

To that we are going to add the juice of 1/4 lime. Squeeze it in there, Oh boy, I can already smell the freshness coming out of that VitaMix.

We’re going to pop the top on and blend up our V3. Of course, you can turn this into V4, 5, 6, 7, or 8 if you like, but keeping with my K.I.S.S. theory, Keep It Simple, Smoothie, I’m starting with V3. Let’s go.

And thats all there is to it, blended for what, maybe 10 seconds? Here we have the pure tomato, celery and lime, mmm fresh, I can feel myself hydrating as I’m swallowing it.

Just drink it the way it is, for starters. You need add nothing to this, you can enjoy it as it is. But, sometimes what I like to do is add just a couple of granules of sea salt to it, this is the black lava sea salt, I just love the flavor of it and the way it dissolves into the soft peach color of this V3 smoothie.

Now let’s take a sip with a little salt in it. Mmm, extra zing, I love it.

And the third way is, I add a little sprinkle of fresh ground black pepper. pretty, pretty, stir it up.

We have the lycopene in the tomato, which is an antioxidant helping to neutralize the free radicals roaming around in us. We have potassium and sodium in the celery and those are like an electrolyte replacement, so this is a fantastic concoction to drink after a workout or if you’re feeling depleted or at 4pm or whenever you want a pick me up without feeling sleepy afterwards.

      Excellent!
      Now we know you can add tomatoes to your savory smoothies – as for juicing the tomatoes, since you don’t like tomato juice, why bother?
      In the V3 or any other savory smoothie, you retain the whole tomato including the fiber and the juice!
      So you are getting your tomato juice anyway!
      I have other delicious recipes with tomatoes and I will make one soon!
      You took action and made the V3. Congratulations!
