Transcript of this video:

G is for good, and of course, G is for green. It’s a green smoothie without the fruit. All it requires is a blender full of pure, clean water – the VitaMix holds 8 cups, I have 7 cups in here. A small handful of greens, you can use whichever green you want, today I am using parsley, add those to the VitaMix.

What I’m really trying to show you today is not so much a recipe as a concept, a new way to drink your greens. I am also going to add a peeled cucumber, about this much, I peeled the cucumber because it’s not organic, the parsley is organic. And please don’t stress about organic, do what you can to get started drinking your greens.

So, what do we have in here? We have water, parsley and cucumber, and the cucumber is full of silica which is wonderful for our hair, skin and eyes. And as usual, I’m adding ice to mine, that’s how I like it, it’s optional, you can make it with or without the ice. (Blending now, approximately 30 seconds.)

Look at that – not a bit or chunk of green or cucumber in there, it’s blended smooth.

Now I’m going to pour it into this jar, look at this blender full of G-Water. It’s a gorgeous color of green and it has the texture of water, it’s not thick like a smoothie. Full of the silica from the cucumber and the chlorophyll and oxygen from the parsley and parsley is also antibacterial and antifungal.

Oh, that is so refreshing, aah… My Dad used to drink his water from an old fruit jar and I do the same thing – there’s nothing so beautiful as opening your fridge and seeing a big jar of G-Water in it.

It’s not sweet, it’s not bitter, it’s green. In fact, this combination of parsley and cucumber tastes light green. It’s going to taste like whatever dominant green you use. If you’re using kale, go easy, use a small piece. I’ve also made combinations of parsley and spinach, mint and cucumber, romaine and cucumber, there are so many combos, cilantro is fantastic in G-Water.

Besides the benefits for our skin, it also satisfies my thirst and my appetite and I know that sipping on G-Water throughout the day helps to ward off cravings. It helps me feel nourished inside and out.

I hope you’ll make my G-Water, I hope you’ll feel beautiful when you’re drinking it, I hope you’ll post your comments and questions and let me know what you think –  and what combinations of greens you’re using.

[..YouTube..] made this recipe with spinach and I used a lot! It was soooo refreshing. It felt like the water went right to my cells. I am having a few detox symptoms but that shows me that the drink is doing what it is supposed to do. :)

  5. [..YouTube..] That is fantastic that you took action and made yourself some Beauty G Water! I am going to make it with spinach, too. Was it simply spinach and water or did you add something else? Jane

  6. [...] I used parsley and cucumber. In the meantime, Chelsea wrote in and said, “Jane, I made your Beauty Water, G-Water, G for green and good, only I used a lot of spinach instead, so that’s what [...]

I am new to the Vitamix and raw food world but very excited to be here. I saw the video for beauty water and ran out to the garden to see what I could pick. Came in with cilantro and a cucumber…. it is wonderful! Thank you for the great videos!

  16. pcilla10 says:

[..YouTube..] what’s your opinion on blending vs juicing? I used to blend greens and fruit until researching the subject. Juicing seems to be best.

  17. [..YouTube..] @pcilla10 My opinion is that it’s not either/or. I think they are both good and have their place. Blending is less work and includes the fiber, so I do that 99% of the time. But I like juice, too.

[..YouTube..] I made this today with mint instead of parsley. At first I just had to go ahead and drink it but i put the rest in a glass in the fridge so when I drunk that one it was cold and i liked a whole lot better. very cool and so easy to make. Thumbs up

  19. [..YouTube..] @jkalm4ofus Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it and created your own.

  20. drc536 says:

[..YouTube..] Hello,Thanks for the video. Have you tried adding stevia to this drink? I like sweetness and wonder if it ok to add stevia? does it tastes ok?

  21. [..YouTube..] @drc536 I haven’t tried stevia in my green smoothies, but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work – if you do try it, come back and let me know what you think. Thanks!Jane

[..YouTube..] I just made a g water with kale and cucumbers and a lot of water I didn’t t have ice. I added 1 medjool date, ( don’t think it had any effect) I drank about 2 cups. I put the rest in the refrigerator. I didn’t have ice, and I think it will taste even better chilled. I like this concept and will experiment with this idea. Jane, very interesting idea.

  23. Catwoman501 says:
