Hi, I’m Jane from blenditandmendit.com. Welcome.

Today I am making my Summer Romaine Green Smoothie. This is so refreshing and it’s a thirst quencher and you get your greens. I’m starting out with one cup of cold water. Just pour that into your VitaMix. Then add about 1/2 cup fresh orange juice. I think that’ll do it.

Life Giving Greens

Then I’m adding 1 1/2 cups of pineapple, make sure it’s ripe if it’s fresh. It can be fresh or frozen. I’m adding frozen. One banana; this is a frozen banana. Make sure that’s ripe, too. Make sure the peel on the banana has its brown sugar spots. (Peel before freezing.) That means the starch has converted to sugar and it’s at the peak of its nutrition, ripeness and flavor. And the life giving greens. About a half of a bunch of Romaine lettuce. Romaine is tender, tasty, not bitter, full of nutrition, fiber, water, chlorophyll, antioxidants, phyto-nutrients, amino acids… look at our beautiful blender.

Positivity and Cheer

Bright, cheery, frosty, fresh, tropical – you have to try this. It’s so simple and delicious. It’s common ingredients and you get your greens and you get the gorgeous color. I say the same things over and over again. The waterful foods fill me with positivity and cheer. If that’s all they did, I would be satisfied.
