Today I am making two of my favorite things, my antiaging raw chocolate truffles and my antiaging beauty water, and they go together like green and smoothie.

All you need to do to craft these delectable little darlings, is put together, by hand, three ingredients.

The first one is 6 medjool dates, simply remove the pits and if the little caps are on them, remove those, too. Add them to the bowl.  Add one heaping tablespoon of raw almond butter. If you don’t have time to make your own, and I do have an upcoming video on how to make nut butters in the VitaMix, then go ahead and get some raw, organic almond butter or you can use cashew butter, whatever you like, and put a big, heaping tablespoon right on top of the dates.

Then take your raw cacao powder, which is the raw chocolate powder, and put a big, heaping tablespoon on top of the raw almond butter and the dates.

Now you get to have some fun with your food. Put your hands in there and begin to knead slowly. You don’t want to go too fast at first until you incorporate the chocolate powder, because it’s going to get all over you and the kitchen. So, just begin to knead until all three ingredients become one and you have almost a dough-like consistency. When you are done you will have a big ball of raw chocolate truffle.  Simply take small portions and roll them into a ball in the palm of your hand, you can make them any size you want. I also have some toppings. I have coconut, I have cinnamon and I have more of the raw chocolate powder.

And, I also added to half of the batch some crushed up, raw organic walnuts because sometimes I want them with the walnuts and sometimes I want them without. They’re good both ways, they have different textures, they’re just so wonderful. I chilled this in the freezer. You can eat them at room temperature or chilled.

This one has the walnuts and I rolled it in some of the raw cacao, so what you get to do is, take a bite of your raw chocolate truffle, Mmm,this is fantastic. The raw chocolate is full of magnesium and flavenols and it hasn’t been heated or treated. And the beauty water I made today has kale, cucumber and romaine lettuce in it. There’s no fruit in this. My beauty waters are all greens and water. I sip on them throughout the day. It’s a particularly delightful combination.

I feel completely and utterly nourished and satisfied physically, psychologically and emotionally. I hope you will make it.

QUESTION: Have you made any of my beauty waters or have you concocted any of your own? I’d love to know! Use the comment box below. Jane.

I love that you are doing some raw desserts! I make mine with carob, we don’t use raw cacao–family members can’t tolerate it.
    Your truffles look beautiful.
    Peace & Raw Health,
    Elizabeth

    • Jane says:

      Hi Elizabeth,
You are a mind reader. Carob is on the list as others have requested it also, instead of the raw cacao, so look for it.
      This is fun!

  14. [..YouTube..] Your chilled ones look like they have a nice, hard, chocolate consistency (not squishy). but when i did this it came out squishy (still delicious), any suggestions on how to make it like real hard chocolate?

  15. [..YouTube..] @ilinaeternity They might look like hard chocolate but they are chewy. After chilling, they are firmer. There are sites on the web that get deep into the raw chocolate and can get the hard chocolate aspects. Try the Sunny Raw Kitchen, she has a lot of gourmet raw chocolate going on there.Jane

  28. Judy says:

I made the cucumber beauty water today with decaf green tea and added a celery stalk. Since the tea was still warm, I added some ice cubes, which brought it to room temperature. Not bad – give it a try!

  29. Judy says:

Jane, I couldn’t find the almond butter on your website. When I clicked on link in your video, the page was not found. I did see the cashew butter recipe. Is it the same process or do you do any differently, like soak the almonds first?

    • Jane says:

      Hi Judy,
You can use the same process for any nut butter.

I have made it with soaked and unsoaked almonds. If you soak the almonds they have to be re-dried in a dehydrator overnight or allowed to sit (well drained) in the fridge for a few days so that they dry up a bit otherwise your almond butter will be on the wet and foamy side.

I prefer making mine with unsoaked almonds, even though that means it’s not optimum for digestion because if they are unsoaked the enzyme inhibitors haven’t been released.

  30. [..YouTube..] Hi Jane,Question 2:You promote the G water and say that you like to drink on it throughout the day, but, doesn’t juiced veggies lose their vitamins after they are cut or juiced? So is the G water you make in the morning as healthy as the same G water you drink in the late afternoon?

  31. [..YouTube..] Hi Jane,Question 1:I am becoming a fan of yours as I am desiring to go raw/vegetarian and purchase a VitaMixer. Presently, I have a juicer and that presents two questions for you (one is not about juicing). The first question is about the raw truffles.I notice that you use the raw cacao powder. Will it be as healthy if I used the cocoa?

  32. [..YouTube..] @tejohnsonjones There is a difference between cooked chocolate powder and raw chocolate powder, not only in taste, but caffeine effects, etc. I now prefer raw but you can get started with the regular. Use all choc in moderation, no matter what kind you use. It all has caffeine, though the proponents of the raw choc say the raw caffeine doesn’t have the same neg effects. Search raw choc to get both sides of the story, as there are pros and cons.

  33. [..YouTube..] @tejohnsonjones My G / Beauty Water has the fiber in it (unlike juice), which helps it keep its nutrients and keeps it from oxidizing. I’m not a scientist so can’t tell you exactly what happens to it nutritionally throughout the day, but it keeps its color and flavor and I find it remains fresh tasting.

  34. [..YouTube..] @blenditandMendit Ok. Great. Thanks so much and I am loving your videos.

  35. Carrie Shephard says:

Jane, I made the choc truffles and absolutely loved them. A hit with my 7 year old as well. As for beauty water, I like the cucumber, kale and water but I also like to put a nib of ginger in it as well. I feel it tastes like it is more cleansing and pure with the ginger. Have you tryed it with ginger?
    Carrie

  36. Corrie says:

This looks wonderful! Can I substitue cashew butter for the almond butter? Thanks!

  37. John says:

Loved the truffles. I then took a few and blended them with a cup of almond milk and about a cup of ice and made a delicious chocolate shake.

    • Jane says:

      Hi John,
Glad to hear it and definitely like your use of them in a shake. Why didn’t I think of that :)
