My VitaMix Anti Aging Salad Mix Smoothie combines with sweet, juicy pears to deliver the most delicate flavor! And the most potent health properties!

The organic salad mix is full of chlorophyll and oxygen rich baby lettuces, greens and radicchio. Vitamin C, A, Calcium and Iron, too. The pears are high in pectin, help nourish the maccula and contain boron, which helps us retain calcium and prevent osteoporosis. It’s an anti aging green goodness pear party in a cup!

Make this and post your comments and questions!

Transcript of this video:

When you buy a bag of fresh, organic, already trimmed, already washed organic greens, that is keeping it simple for you.

You can check and make sure the bagged greens are fresh, make sure there’s no slime, shake the bag up and make sure everything moves around easily, and for a mere $2 you can’t beat this. Plus, you get to rotate your greens, and there’s a nice mix of greens in here. So all you have to do is open the bag and pour it into your VitaMix.

I used 3 of these beautiful, ripe pears, there’s about 100 calories in a pear, so do the math, 300 calories to the 3 pears and 100 calories to the 5 cups of greens makes 400 calories worth of oxygen filled, chlorophyll filled, life giving, health giving, no energy required to digest, cell reinforcing and cell informing food. These are the best 400 calories you are ever going to partake of.

So don’t even think about calories, I’m just trying to give you some different pieces of information. There are no downsides to this that I can find.

Okay, let’s blend it up. Look at that, there’s 5 cups of green smoothie. Oh, it just smells so delicate. Pears are very delicate. They’re delicately flavored, they have a delicate aroma to them. This is delicious.

All those greens and it only took a mere 3 pears to temper the taste. And if you want it tempered even more just add more fruit. When you’re making a green smoothie, remember, if the final product is too green, add fruit. Too sweet? Add greens.

You can pour it into several glasses… I put the glasses right in the fridge uncovered and they stay all day. The fiber in the green smoothie keeps them green and keeps them from oxidizing. Mmm, this is a delicately flavored concoction.

Have a favorite smoothie? Keep it simple, send it in and I’ll make it on camera.

Today I want to show you how to make my Nectar of the Gods sweetener. It requires only two ingredients and it’s very simple. It has become a staple and I keep it in the refrigerator. I use it for many of my green smoothies, my non-green smoothies and my concoctions and elixirs.

It requires only the water from a fresh, young coconut, and I am going to show you how to safely and easily open this coconut and get the water out of it and a half dozen or so pitted, medjool dates.

The first thing we’re going to do is open the coconut and harvest the water. Yummy.

When I first saw these coconuts, I thought… these are foreign, I don’t know how to use them, how do you get them open, that’s a pain, I don’t want to do it. I soaked my dates in water for a long time and you can do that, too, if you’re not ready to go here. But once you buy a coconut, and see them in various supermarkets they become more common, but if you can’t get one, use water, it’s ok.

All you have to do to begin is shave the husk off the pointed end. Let’s do that now. It requires about 6 or 8 cuts. Shaving… it takes work to get the water out of a fresh young coconut, but it’s worth it. One of the tips I want to give you today is, when you do open the coconut, before you pour the water over your dates, have a teaspoon ready and take a sip to make sure it’s good.

Every once in a blue moon, you’re going to get a fresh young coconut that went bad for some reason – don’t use it and don’t ruin your dates by pouring it over the dates before you taste it.

Ok, let’s finish this up. What we’re doing is exposing the brown husk. We’re used to seeing the round, brown coconuts, well that’s what’s inside of here. So, we’ve exposed the husk like this, and the coconut wood is on a circular grain, so what we’re going to do is take the knife… and then it opens right up, see that?

Look at that – snowy white coconut meat, crystal clear coconut water, let’s give it a little sip here, mmm, this is fresh and delicious.

And then, I’m going to pour the water out of the coconut through a strainer and into the bowl that has my medjool dates. I’ve read all kinds of things about coconut water, how beneficial it is, but mostly, it’s full of electrolytes.

Now, here’s the coconut water over the pitted medjool dates. Now it’s going to soak, just cover it up and put it in your refrigerator, you can give it a stir now and then. Once you begin using this as a sweetener, you’re going to keep it on hand all the time.

I use one or two tablespoons a day, pour it right into my VitaMix and into my smoothies. It is delicious. Mmm, fiber, energy and electrolytes in your sweetener, now that’s anti aging.

Don’t throw out the coconut meat, in one of my next videos I’ll show you what to do with the coconut meat. And watch the next video because that’s where we’re going to use my Nectar of the Gods sweetener in one of my all time favorites, my Cashew Vanilla Heaven Shake.

My VitaMix Anti Aging Zapple Juice will zap you into botanical wonder. Zucchini, botanically a fruit, and apple juice go together like green and smoothie.

Your brain and neurons will love you for it. From the Cucurbita family, rich in minerals and high in folate, zucchini helps to strengthen and sharpen our mental might, and who doesn’t want that?.

Full of fiber and water, it even has protein in it. Make this and post your comments and questions!

Transcript of this video:

4 cups of fresh squeezed apple juice, I squeezed this myself this morning, add that directly to the VitaMix.

Normally, you wouldn’t think that adding zucchini to a fruit smoothie would work, but it does. Botanically, zucchini is a fruit, so it works in that way, and flavor-wise it works, also.

I want to give you a little tip. If you’re ever wondering what the final product is going to taste like, or if you’re not too sure about a green or a vegetable in your smoothie, take a little piece and taste it.

In the case of zucchini, you will see that it’s mild, actually a little bit creamy, and not bitter. So it’s going to work in this elixir beautifully. And when you look in your refrigerator, any time of the year, but especially in the summer, and it’s full of zucchini, you’ll know what to do with it.

So take a zucchini, cut it up into a couple, three pieces and add it to the VitaMix. Now, normally, if I have a couple cups of apple juice, I add one zucchini. In this case I’m adding two and I’m making a great, big blender full that I’m going to put into several glasses, put into the refrigerator, and my family and I have them all day to sip on and drink.

So, in the VitaMix we have 2 zucchini and 4 cups of apple juice, preferably fresh squeezed, but if you have to use pasteurized, use it and go ahead and get started somewhere. Let’s blend and then we’ll find out what’s so special about zucchini, this common botanical fruit that we use as a vegetable.

And we’re done. As usual, another simple and easy recipe. Let’s see what we’ve got. I don’t even taste the zucchini, this tastes fully like apple juice. Now, you will notice, we started out with the brown apple juice and a couple of green zucchini, we have a beautiful color of almost a combination of lime and olive green.

What does it taste like? Green mustache… it’s creamier than just regular apple juice, and I must say, I do not even taste the zucchini. This is like drinking a turbo charged apple juice.

One of the great things about zucchini, and this is important at every age, but of course, if you’re a baby boomer, or even a 20 something, 30 something, 40 something, 60, 70 or 80 something, we always need good mental function, and there’s high folate levels in zucchini and it helps our brain and neurons.

So keep that in mind when you’re going to throw out the zucchini and instead throw it into the VitaMix with some apple juice. I just had an idea, right now I have alot of oranges. I’m going to make something tomorrow with zucchini and oranges, so watch for that and see if it comes out the way I’m thinking it will.

Zucchini is also another vegetable, fruit, fruitable that’s 95% water. And any time you can get your water in the food instead of after the food or bottled water that you have to wash down other types of food with, do it, so when you can eat your water, do it and this is a good opportunity to do that.

So look, I’ve got three big glasses of Zapple Juice that can go in the refrigerator for the rest of the day. Okay, anything else you want to know about this, other than it tastes terrific and it’s great for anti aging?
