<p>Today I am making two of my favorite things, my antiaging raw chocolate truffles and my antiaging beauty water, and they go together like green and smoothie.</p>
<p>All you need to do to craft these delectable little darlings, is put together, by hand, three ingredients.</p>
<p>The first one is <strong>6 medjool dates</strong>, simply remove the pits and if the little caps are on them, remove those, too. Add them to the bowl.  Add <strong>one heaping tablespoon of raw almond butter</strong>. If you don&#8217;t have time to make your own, and I do have an upcoming video on how to make nut butters in the VitaMix, then go ahead and get some raw, organic almond butter or you can use cashew butter, whatever you like, and put a big, heaping tablespoon right on top of the dates.</p>
<p>Then take your <strong>raw cacao powder</strong>, which is the raw chocolate powder, and put a <strong>big, heaping tablespoon</strong> on top of the raw almond butter and the dates.</p>
<p>Now you get to have some fun with your food. Put your hands in there and begin to knead slowly. You don&#8217;t want to go too fast at first until you incorporate the chocolate powder, because it&#8217;s going to get all over you and the kitchen. So, just begin to knead until all three ingredients become one and you have almost a dough-like consistency. When you are done you will have a big ball of raw chocolate truffle.  Simply take small portions and roll them into a ball in the palm of your hand, you can make them any size you want. I also have some toppings. I have coconut, I have cinnamon and I have more of the raw chocolate powder.</p>
<p>And, I also added to half of the batch some crushed up, raw organic walnuts because sometimes I want them with the walnuts and sometimes I want them without. They&#8217;re good both ways, they have different textures, they&#8217;re just so wonderful. I chilled this in the freezer. You can eat them at room temperature or chilled.</p>
<p>This one has the walnuts and I rolled it in some of the raw cacao, so what you get to do is, take a bite of your raw chocolate truffle, Mmm,this is fantastic. The raw chocolate is full of magnesium and flavenols and it hasn&#8217;t been heated or treated. And the beauty water I made today has kale, cucumber and romaine lettuce in it. There&#8217;s no fruit in this. My beauty waters are all greens and water. I sip on them throughout the day. It&#8217;s a particularly delightful combination.</p>
<p>I feel completely and utterly nourished and satisfied physically, psychologically and emotionally. I hope you will make it.</p>

<p>It requires only 3 ingredients and you can drink it 3 different ways. We start with <strong>one, ripe medium size tomato</strong>, which I cut into fours and put right in the VitaMix.</p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">To that we add <strong>one stalk of celery</strong>, using organic, which is always best if you can get it, if you can&#8217;t that&#8217;s okay, get what you can to get started eating fresh vegetables, drinking your greens, blending and mending as you can.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">To that we are going to add the <strong>juice of 1/4 lime</strong>. Squeeze it in there, Oh boy, I can already smell the freshness coming out of that VitaMix.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">We&#8217;re going to pop the top on and blend up our V3. Of course, you can turn this into V4, 5, 6, 7, or 8 if you like, but keeping with my K.I.S.S. theory, Keep It Simple, Smoothie, I&#8217;m starting with V3. Let&#8217;s go.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">And thats all there is to it, blended for what, maybe 10 seconds? Here we have the pure tomato, celery and lime, mmm fresh, I can feel myself hydrating as I&#8217;m swallowing it.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">Just drink it the way it is, for starters. You need add nothing to this, you can enjoy it as it is. But, sometimes what I like to do is add just a couple of granules of sea salt to it, this is the black lava sea salt, I just love the flavor of it and the way it dissolves into the soft peach color of this V3 smoothie. </span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">Now let&#8217;s take a sip with a little salt in it. Mmm, extra zing, I love it.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">And the third way is, I add a little sprinkle of fresh ground black pepper. pretty, pretty, stir it up.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">We have the lycopene in the tomato, which is an antioxidant helping to neutralize the free radicals roaming around in us. We have potassium and sodium in the celery and those are like an electrolyte replacement, so this is a fantastic concoction to drink after a workout or if you&#8217;re feeling depleted or at 4pm or whenever you want a pick me up without feeling sleepy afterwards.</span></p>

<p><span style="color: #000000;">Today I want to share with you my #1 tip for drinking green smoothies long term, and that is: <strong><span style="color: #84a902;">rotate your greens.</span></strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">Why do we need to rotate our greens? Why can&#8217;t I, if I enjoy Romaine, just have a Romaine green smoothie over and over and over again? Or spinach, or parsley?</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">Because, in these delectable greens, which are life giving, water giving, energy giving, oxygen giving, healing and cleansing, there&#8217;s a teeny, tiny little toxin, a little poison in each one called an alkaloid. For instance, there&#8217;s arsenic in parsley, opium in Romaine and some oxalic acid in spinach.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">But it&#8217;s okay, they&#8217;re in minute amounts, and as long as you don&#8217;t get into a spinach rut or Romaine rut or any 1 or 2 greens rut, then you&#8217;ll be fine and your body will easily take care of these things.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>That&#8217;s my #1 tip.</strong> And it&#8217;s not difficult to rotate your greens, just this morning at Whole Foods I counted 22 of them and that&#8217;s not even counting green vegetables, that&#8217;s just counting leafy greens which are a category unto themselves or should be.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">And I went across the street to the conventional market and I counted 16 greens, so there&#8217;s no reason to get stuck in a rut. Experiment, enjoy and have a wide variety of green smoothies and you will benefit the most from that.</span></p>
