A Little Indulgence Just For the Health of It !
Hi Everyone,
I was craving a chocolate milkshake last night so I made myself a Cacoa Cashew Milkshake!
Here is the recipe:
Soak 1 cup of raw organic cashews (about 1 hour)
Drain them and add to blender with 2 cups filtered water
Blend on high for about 45 seconds
Strain through a milk bag ( although not much to strain really )
If you want this to be thinner, just add ice or more water
Add the cashew milk back into blender
Add 4 pitted dates, 2 scoops of raw cacao powder and blend on high for about 30 seconds
You can add ice if you want as well. I added cacao nibs on top to give it bits to crunch on as well.
This comes out very creamy and thick like a milkshake and quite delish with cashews instead of almonds.
An alternative to almonds when you don’t have any almond milk made and you want to have something right away!!
Very powerful and full of vitamins and minerals and makes you feel like you are cheating!!
Try this and see how you like it!!
Have a Great Day!!
Carrie

Carrie, thank-you. That’s on my list for this weekend! I love indulgences that are healthy. Anna
Do you really have to strain it? It seems to me like an unnecessary step. Is there a reason for straining?
Hi Terri,
You don’t have to strain cashew milk, I never do as it has virtually no pulp.
I do strain almond milk, because it’s gritty if you don’t.
